The root question should be focused upon, what we care and concern ourselves most about? The method of using patents was to protect the rights of individuals by rewarding them, to foster the development in society. However, today, patents are nothing more the big money invest to protect it's markets, locking out innovation, which holds back society.

Wouldn't society just be better to never allow the protection of patents in the first place, because then everyone in society would benfit, which would include all the individuals having innovated in the first place?

The objections to this thought are always from those who are wealthy and rich, wanting to maintain a monoploy over those against them.

It is why today, such individuals like Bill Gates are earning multi billions of dollars, and CEO's like Wal-Mart Scott, earn 50,000 times more per an hour than his Chinese employees working for Wal-mart in China do.

I seriously doubt does 50,000 time more work, or comes up with 50,000 times mor innovation, or invest back into it's own employees 50,000 times more than they give their time, effort and life working to make Scott 50,000 time more able to enjoy his liberties than their slavery!
